contrib: add upstream_diff
I've been using this wrapper for meld for a long time to verify any
fixups I have to apply to BACKPORTs have landed correctly.
meld makes it blindingly obvious when a patch isn't the same as the
upstream. Very useful to verify UPSTREAM patchs.
In a few rare, more complex cases, meld may get confused and not align
the changes correctly.
